Many of my friends were asking me as to why i switched my blog from a more "complex" and advanced host called "blogspot" to a folder in my hosting account. Well, the answer is simple. I like simplicity. This blog is based on a a "Simple PHP Blog" conecpt script by Alexander Palmo You might also be wondering why i hadnt gone for any complex scripts like Wordpress, or Drupal CMS for this simple blog. well, the answer again is simple. and its because i like "simplicity".



Most modern blogging scripts are complex and work on databases, mostly MySql and since my host 110mb.com doesnt give me free MySql databases (only SQlite) i hadnt even thought in that direction. So i went on to look for a simple flat file (text file) blogging "CMS" and voila here is my pick! WEll, i had to dig deep to find it. becuase it seems like SPB project has been stopped way back in 2007 after their last update. Well i dont care because as long as my nice little blog is working nice and fine, i'm happy. It's got all the features i wanted it to have like an RSS feed option, bad words filter, commenting system, avatar for admininstrator etc. i was so delighted that a flat file - PHP script could do this much. Many of the comments back at source forge speak praises of this like me.

I am planning to dig deep into this script and maybe try and develop it too. I'm also watching the blogs of some other fans of Simple PHP BLog. Maybe we can develop a team soon. :) Well, thats it for now...so long then.. take care and don't forget to leave your comments :P

It is with great excitement i am introducing this new blog. I will soon discontinue updating my old blog at blogspot.
